Payment terms

Shipping payment term options in ShipPeek.

Payment terms define who pays for the shipment and when. These are returned in the paymentTerms field of rate responses.

Available terms

Term	Description
Outbound Prepaid	Shipper pays. Most common for outbound shipments.
Outbound Collect	Receiver pays on delivery.
Inbound Collect	Receiver pays for inbound shipments.
Third Party Prepaid	A third party pays in advance.
Third Party Collect	A third party pays on delivery.

Default behavior

Most rate requests default to Outbound Prepaid unless your account is configured otherwise.
